Products Description
Robert Stephanus' 1550 Novum Testamentum Editio Regia. The first of it's kind and a must have for any Greek learned Pastor, teacher or scholar. This is a facsimile edition of one of the most overlooked New Testaments in all of history. In truth, it is one of the most important books in all of history!! This 1550 Greek New Testament stands nearly 12" tall - it is 8 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" thick.

The most interesting feature of this Testament is the critical apparatus, printed in the inner margin of the text, which gives various readings and additions from MSS (manuscript). These are distinguised by Greek numerals.

Of the more important of Robert Estienne (Robert Stephanus / 1503–1559) works are his four editions of the Greek New Testament, 1546, 1549, 1550, and 1551, the last published in Geneva. The first two are among the neatest Greek texts known, and are called O mirificam; the third is a splendid masterpiece of typographical skill, and is known as the Editio Regia. It is this edition that is offered to you now for viewing & studying. It is also important to note that this 1550 or third editio more closely conformed to that of Erasmus.

This facsimile reproduction measures approximately 12 inches tall & 8 1/2 inches wide by just 1 1/2 inch thick, and is bound in hardcover burgundy-brown bonded leather with gold stamping along the spine.
